Haunted House
Hi everyone!
I hope you all are well. Just wanted to hop on here to send you all some greetings and to share a story or two.
FYI: This is my second round of haunted house training. Let me know if you're interested in hearing about first haunted house training experience.
Scenario:
My team and I were to go into a haunted house twice.
Each round with different reaction.
Round 1: We went into the haunted house scared and screaming. When the spirits came near we would quiet down and try to cut our breathing so they couldn't find us. We were locked inside of the house and needed to get out so my team advised for me to unlock the door while they distract the spirits. First tried, I failed. I then noticed a lady behind me. She smiled and encouraged me to try again. Second tried, I finally unlocked the door. I ran out screaming and realized no one ran out with me so I ran back towards the house. I tried opening the door and realized it was locked. I thought back and realized the lady that had encouraged me to open the door was a spirit and not one of my team. She's also the one that locked the door.
Round 2: My team and I went into the haunted house with a calm mindset. We all accepted the spirits and shared the space in the house with them. They're existence didn't bother us despite how often they had tried to annoy us. Once they had enough we all lived in peace in the house. We were able to go in and out of the house freely.
This training isn't so much about horror but more so about the way we handle things. Through the things we can and can't control, we can either let our fear control us or we can accept the reality and learn to cope with it and grow from it in a healthy way.
What other lessons can you draw from the this training?
