What's your love story?

When you think of "love" what comes to your mind?

When I was going through my awakening, love was one of the topics that came through and was also the biggest topic I had to learn from.

I saw into many of my past lives. In almost every one of my lifetime my partner had always been the one to leave first. Some we ended up together, some we didn't.

Weeks after I had found out I was gifted my partner came to show me our marks and he came to say his farewell. He said, "This is the last time I've come to see you. Next time we see each other it'll be work related. I've never wanted you to go down this path because I didn't want you to remember all the pains and struggles you went through. I didn't want you to remember the lonely times you've experienced when I wasn't by your side. I knew I couldn't stop you from choosing this path but still I wanted to try."

I had always viewed love as something simple and never dared to think into the depth of it. Before it's meaning was surface base but now 'love' to me is beyond that. It's unconditional. It's eternal.

After this farewell I woke up and spent weeks and months trying to gather myself. I closed the door on love for myself. I didn't want to create something so beautiful with another human being to only have it be a memory once I crossed over. I didn't want to just leave someone so easily and moved on to my partner once I crossed over. It would be like hurting someone or playing with their feelings unintentionally yet intentionally.

Throughout this entire journey my guides have been working with me on opening up for love. Starting with self mastery and self love. That is loving myself unconditionally before I love others. Choosing myself and putting myself above all else and surrendering to welcome what's meant for me.

Unconditional love is understanding and knowing that I am capable of loving regardless of the condition I'm looking at. It's realizing that not only am I capable of feeling love regardless of the condition, I am loved regardless of the condition.

Today I no longer dwelled on the past and through all that I've been through, when true love does come knocking on my door I can't say for sure what I'll do or how I'll react to it but I have faith that by them it's meant to be.

Some love stories are written in the stars. Some are written by lovers. Love comes in all shapes and forms and can be expressed and experienced in many different ways. Some love stories are meant to be just dreams and fairy tales. Some are blessings and lessons. Some are temporary. Some are meant to last.
