People like to think that if someone is your true soulmate you'll always end up together but the truth is no, this isn't always the case.
When it comes to soulmates it's important to understand that there are many different types of soulmates: romantic, platonic, and karmic. However, if it's a twin flame kind of soulmate, this individual is your other half.
(Keep in mind that you and your twin flame are always whole as individuals. No one is ever just half of something. This is the learning part of the twin flame journey which will need its own post.)
Some people see twin flames as one soul in two bodies. Some see it as two souls. Whatever your belief may be about twin flames, it can't be denied that at one point in time you're both one energetic soul.
You're twin flame and you are each other's mirror. You bring out the best and the worst in each other - not to show your incompatibility but to show each other which areas in your life need work done.
In this case you may be wondering, why don't twin flames end up together?
Through research, stories I've heard, and by understanding my own twin flame journey, twin flames do end up together but not always. This is due to multiple reasons.
1. You both aren't in alignment with each other's wavelength.
When you're not in alignment, it'll be a tom and jerry situation. You'll experience cycles of separation and cycles of highly magnetic love sparks with one another. A runner and chaser sort of situation.
2. You met each other a little too late.
When you and your twin flame met each other a little too late and your commitment to each other happened a little later, this creates a dilemma. You're both in separate committed relationships or one of you is in one. It could also be one of you or both of you are already married.
3. One is incarnated and the other isn't.
If you're in a situation where your twin flame isn't here physically on earth, you'll more than likely end up with someone else, a karmic soulmate. This isn't to say that you're being punished. This simply means that you both shared separate duties or missions this time around, or one of you made the decision not to come down.
4. You both are karmically tied to someone else.
When you and or your twin flame are karmically tied to someone else it doesn't matter how strong the connection between you and your twin flame is if the karma isn't clear you'll both continue to be stuck with the other individuals.
5. Life situations happen.
Life is unpredictable. Anything can happen. Even though we all have spiritual guides and angels it doesn't guarantee our safety. Accident happened. Twin flames will not end up together if one of you passed on too early before the opportunity of crossing paths with each other arrived, or if one of you passed, in an accident, after your meeting with one another. Sometimes it could also be because life happened to play out not in your favor due to ego, differences, and earthly matters.
Regardless, you'll always be energetically connected. You and your twin flame are one. No matter the situation, you'll always feel, know, and dream about each other despite the distance between you both. Your connection with each other is eternal. In reality though, you'll either learn to live life with or without one another. This is part of the cycle of growth and the cycle of life.
