The Value of Life

Remember, MK, no one knows the value of anything until they loose it.”

— Message from Spirits

Sometimes it feels like we're trapped and suffocating. May it be for a moment. May it be for years.

But, without this test we wouldn't know the importance of life. The flashes of memories brings us hope and reminds us of regrets. Memories we shared with those we treasure. Regrets and mistakes we wish we didn't make.

Without this test we wouldn't know what were capable of. Instead of suffocating quietly, we swim in the face of danger. We fight our way out with our last strength and fly.

Without this test we wouldn't know our value. How important we are to those around us. Most importantly how valuable we are to ourselves.

Without this test we wouldn't know about the opportunities out there. We can let ourselves drown in misery and pain or we can rise above all of that to a new beginning. To a beginning of change. To an opportunity of growth.

Without change there's no growth. Though it is true to say the past can't be changed it is wise to know the future is what we allow it to be. As we accept and allow our experiences to shape us into who we're meant to be, we're allowing it to mold our future to what we like.

More so than ever when we're stuck in a situation we don't the see the light at the end of the tunnel. The view above water. Instead, we see our pains and suffering and we drown in that. We blocked ourselves from all that's within us that could save us and we rely on others to save us. Then, we get even more miserable when others failed to reach us because we failed to get our message across to them. When in reality we're more than capable of saving ourselves before others get to us. All it takes is trying. A little act of self love and self care, and a thirst for survival.

Why survival?

Well, because life is a gift. As much of a test life is, it is a gift. That alone is powerful. Without us, the people in our life would be lost. Without us, who's going to be the changed we want to see in this world. Without us, who's going to care for the people we love. Without us, what is life itself.

We are the form of life. In order to reproduce we have to be alive. Water has to be alive to give life to all that lives within it. Plants have to be alive to give life. Animals have to be alive to give life. You and I have to be alive to give life. And that life is what we makes it.

We are what makes life valuable. Time doesn't wait for anyone but everyone's time is limited. At the end of our life our value lived in the legacy that will be remembered. Whether that's good or bad it's up to us, individually.

When you feel like you're suffocating give it your all. That way you'll have no regrets. If all else failed at least you try. Tried to get back to the life you're building. Tried to get back to those waiting for your return. Most importantly, tried to get back to you.
