Saving
The spiritual journey requires a great commitment of continuous work on the self. As healers we're taught to ground ourselves and to put ourselves first before others - by learning to heal ourselves first. By doing so it keeps us humble because we remember that we are the living proof of evolution. We have seen and experienced all and know what suffering and growth is. We have experienced what happiness and harmony is like.
We work on ourselves remembering that nothing is permanent, which is why we practice detachment, surrendering or letting go - whatever you may call it. Then when our work ripples outwards we strive to help those who are seeking to awaken.
When we're hurt we need to stop blaming ourselves and others. We must change perspectives and take on this new challenge as another opportunity for learning.
If you're asking yourself, "Does humanity really need saving?" Then start with saving yourself. Be your own hero first.
It is understandable that when one has experienced pain one can't stand to watch another experience agony. However, don't confuse your suffering with the suffering of humanity. We all learn and experience things differently at our own pace. Those that need your savings will come to you when the time is right.
Remember, we can't save everyone. We can only try our best and hope that it'll reach all who need it.
